Effect of Oral Intake of Flammulina velutipes (Enokitake) on Skin Condition in Healthy Adult Women: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study on Mental and Physical Health

Nutritional foods are concentrated sources of molecules with a nutritional or physiological effect which contain nutrients. There is category, “nutricosmetics”, defined as ingestible natural health products that enhance the function and appearance human skin, nails, hair. A new variety Flammulina velutipes (F. velutipes), Oki-Shirayuki 919, was explored to ascertain whether its components have functions nutricosmetics.
